Presentation Survival School A great presenter has two unique qualities, appropriate presentation skills and personal confidence. This confidence comes from knowing what you want to say and being comfortable with your public speaking and communication skills. In this public speaking workshop, you will master the skills that will make you a better speaker and presenter.
The Minute-Taker’s Workshop We will start this workshop by identifying the role of the minute taker and explore common problems and solutions in small groups. We will then define the skills needed by identifying the 3 key skills including an ability to listen, critical thinking skills, and good organization techniques. We will develop templates to use in the class and afterwards at the office. We will discuss the different styles of taking minutes and identify what to record. We will also discuss taking minutes in an interactive meeting and some of the problems that may be encountered. To wrap up the day, participants will learn how to build and maintain a minute book.
Writing Reports and Proposals By the end of this 2-day workshop participants will be able to: Create a basic outline, organize the key points and support them with relevant facts, write a rough draft, proof-read the draft to ensure a professional final copy, choose appropriate visuals such as charts, graphs, and tables to present figures, write an effective conclusion, write an executive summary that highlights the report's main ideas and professionally present the report in a persuasive manner.
