Operating Systems

An operating system is what we use to run our applications and productivity tools. We login every morning and logout at the end of the day. Another aspect to the operating system is Sharepoint services. Sharepoint extends our desktop to a server that allows us to centralize our resources. We offer both operating system and Sharepoint classes.

The following classes are available

PC Foundations - Windows XP & MS Office 2003
Students will be introduced to the fundamentals of PC use with Microsoft Windows XP. They will gain the skills needed to navigate the Windows desktop, use the Control Panel and My Computer and organize files and folders. Students will also create and edit simple documents with Word, as well as learn the fundamentals of email use with Outlook. Completion of this course will serve as the PC Fundamentals/Windows File Management prerequisite for other application courses. Students do not need to have prior computer experience, but use of a keyboard and/or the mouse is very helpful.
